Methi Matar Paneer || মেথি মটৰ পনিৰ || Veg Special ||

While exploring the Indian cuisine, one might notice that the dried fenugreek leave/ Kasuri methi is a chief ingredient of most dishes and the Methi Matar Paneer || মেথি মটৰ পনিৰ is no different in this regard. This Methi Matar Paneer is a popular Indian recipe prepared on special occasions. This easy-to-make dish is popular during festive occasions like Navratri, Diwali etc. This is a no onion-ginger-garlic recipe.

Ingredients || উপকৰণ:-

1/2 cup thawed frozen peas

250 gm paneer/ cottage cheese, cut into cubes

1 medium-size potato, cut into pieces

1 medium-size tomato, chopped roughly

1 tsp cumin seeds

1 tsp ghee/ clarified butter

1 tsp veg oil

2 / 3 dried red chillies

1 tsp turmeric powder

1/2 tsp red chilli powder

1/2 tbsp +1/2 tbsp dried fenugreek leaves/ Kasuri methi

1/2 cup water

Salt to taste

Direction || প্ৰণালী:-

Heat ghee and oil in a pan on low flame.

Add cumin seeds and dried red chillies. Saute the cumin seeds till they splutter.

Then add the potato pieces and fry for 8 / 10 minutes on low flame. Add the turmeric and red chilli powder. Stir well.

Add the chopped tomato. Stir and let it cook for 3 / 4 minutes.

Add thawed peas and 1/2 tbsp of kasuri methi. Stir again and cover with a lid for 2 minutes.

Open the lid and add water. Season with salt. Cook for 5 / 6 minutes on medium flame.

Add the paneer cubes. Simmer for 2 / 3 minutes on a low flame or till the paneer cubes get cooked.

Don’t overcook as the paneer becomes dense and hard.

Add the remaining Kasuri methi and cover with a lid. Switch off the flame. Rest it for 3 minutes.

Methi Matar Paneer is ready to serve with rotis / paranthas/ rice .

ঢাকোণ খুলি পানী আৰু আন্দাজমতে নিমখ দিয়ক | ৫ / ৬ মিনিটৰ কাৰণে সিজিবলৈ দিয়ক |

পনিৰৰ টুকুৰা কেইটা দি ২ / ৩ মিনিটৰ কাৰণে কম জুইত সিজিবলৈ দিয়ক |

বাকী  ৰৈ যোৱা কচুৰি মেথি খিনি দি ঢাকোণ মাৰি দিয়ক অাৰু জুইৰ পৰা নমাই ৰাখক |
